Scavengers are circling shadows over hiding, seeking, predators blending into their surroundings.
Don't disturb the beast while he sleeps the cruel winters away.
Insectile hopes and dreams, from a cocoon inside a cave.
Release the past life memories into the breeze, even the trees need something to breathe, and when the beast wakes up to an empty cup, a whole lot of belly to feed, and when the crops outside have withered and died, all that survives are the roaches and the flies.
They'll wish him better luck next time...
